Originally recorded in 1993, as part of a three-song demo in the master bedroom of Eaton’s townhouse in Chicago on a 16-track analog tape recorder, North decided not to include ‘Murder Of The Minds’ or the second track from the demo, ‘Hypnotic Fever,’ on their 1994 debut album, Genocidal World. What did survive was the demo’s third track, ‘Veteran’s Day,’ which was retooled and re-recorded for the album. However, after a decade and a half of recording the original demo it became apparent, in retrospect, that the two original unreleased songs were more than worthy of being re-mastered (digitally this time) and released as the CD single - Murder Of The Minds.
